Here's MAGPIE's interview on the "LA TARDE" program aired on 30th November 2024 where he presented his new "Home For Christmas" single.
A long day's drive full of anticipation culminated in our arrival in Vitoria Gasteiz to play at the 2024 Sweet Country Boots festival. A walk around the town, a bit of tapas washed down with some local cider and we were ready to hit the sack.
Next morning, bright eyed(!) we headed off to Kuartango for the sound check. As we approached our reaction was just "Wow"! What a unique and magical place it was!
Our performance was received with great enthusiasm and was made 100% complete by the awesome skill of the fantastic Line Dancing that ensued.
They looked after us the whole day and we must say that from start to finish everyone we encountered was the absolute best; the friendliest and most lovely people we have ever met, making us so very welcome and introducing us to the local cuisine, cider and culture - "Txotx'!

RECORDING STUDIO - SEVILLA
"WHAT WE LIVE FOR" CD
Now the 2023 tour has come to an end it's time to head to the recording studio to lay down the tracks for the new "What We Live For" album. The CD will include 8 original songs and is due for release in January 2024.

After playing an amazing festival in Rociana del Condado, MAGPIE traveled to the Spanish capital. An amazing experience playing alongside his musicians for an amazing crowd and where he managed to catch up with the amazing drummer Daniel Griffin, who has played with many artists like Miguel Rios, Fito Cabrales, M-clan & Ariel Rot.
CONDADO ROCK 2023

We were very excited to play at the fantastic CONDADO ROCK 2023 festival where we opened for the fantastic band "CELTIAN" from Madrid. The audience, many of which had come from Huelva capital, were great singing and dancing from our first song to our last. We make a special mention to our photographer Helen Watson who came and took the awesome pictures that can be found in our gallery pages.
CASA DAS VIRTUDES – FARO

For the first time on his tour, MAGPIE crossed the border into Portugal to bring his Country music to Faro. The night started with an opening band called Steve & Heather formed by a Frenchman and an American. They played popular songs in their own style along with some of their own songs.
Then MAGPIE came on stage with his band. opening their concert with their song Lonesome Road followed by a lively set mixed with both original and some popular country songs. According to some in the audience: "It has been a night not to forget".

Por primera vez en su gira, MAGPIE cruza la frontera a Portugal para llevar la música Country a Faro. La noche comenzó con una banda telonera llamada Steve & Heather. Una banda formada por un francés y una americana. Tocaron canciones populares en su propio estilo y algún que otra canción propia.
Seguidamente salió MAGPIE con su banda, abriendo el concierto con su canción Lonesome Road, tocaron un repertorio muy animado mezclado con algunas canciones muy conocidas. Según dicen algunos del público: “Ha sido una noche para no olvidar”.

HEARTBREAK AGUADULCE – ALMERÍA

Continuing with his tour, MAGPIE travelled to the opposite end of Andalusia, Almería. In addition to enjoying the fantastic sites that he visited during the journey, he gave a concert at a place called Heartbreak.
This place, designed as an American tavern, welcomed him with open arms and provided him with great facilities to perform his show. With an enthusiastic audience, MAGPIE, along with his band, put on a show that left everyone wanting more. With such a fantastic response, the band added a couple more songs before closing the night.
MAGPIE was overwhelmed with the response he received in this province and hopes to return to this area again soon.

Siguiendo con su gira, MAGPIE viajó a la otra punta de Andalucía, Almería. Aparte de disfrutar de las buenas vistas que visitó durante la trayectoria, dio un concierto en un local llamado Heartbreak.
Este local, diseñado como una taberna americana, le recibieron con los brazos abiertos y le pusieron todas las facilidades para poder llevar a cabo su espectáculo. Con un público muy entregado, MAGPIE, junto con su banda, procedió a dar un show que dejaría a todo el público con ganas de más. Decidió hacer un par de temas más antes de cerrar la noche.
MAGPIE estuvo encantado con la respuesta que recibió en la provincia y desea volver a pisar esas zonas pronto.
